TAIJI Supreme Ultimate: Self-Titled Game
Objective
The object of the game is to make your hand closest to zero.
Card Values
To start off, there are 52 cards per deck. The Deck is split evenly between black background cards and white background cards. Black Cards are Negative and White Cards are Positive, this is also known as the card “Force Value” and will either be positive or negative.
There are two types of cards: Number Cards and Action Cards.
The Number Cards are 1 through 9. The numbered cards equal the value on each card. A Black 4 = -4 and a white 3 = +3.
The Action cards Are Void, X, Dragon, and Key. Each Action Card has a unique value:
- Void = Nullifies all cards of the same force.
- Dragon = Nullifies all cards of the opposite force.
- X = Doubles all cards of the same force.
- Key = Wild Card that can be between 1-9 and must remain the same force. Action Cards may change with the addition of new cards to a player’s hand.
How To Deal
Deal each player two cards face up. The dealer will alternate players in a clockwise direction. You will also need markers or poker chips to keep score.
Game Play
The Player to the left of the dealer goes first. Players may either choose to Hit and draw a card or Pat and not take any more cards like Blackjack. Each player may Hit a Maximum of 3 times per round.
After all players have Hit or Pat, the round is over. The player with the hand closest to zero wins. The best possible hand is equal to 0 and also known as TAIJI!
Scoring
Each round, all players bet 1 Chip before the deal. The winning player earns the entire pot. In the event multiple players have the same hand value, the pot is equally split.
